Monday Monday Monday! Today was a busy one. I was all over the place. Cash problems, performance reviews, safety team.

Had subway for lunch. In Malaysia they love condiments (like me!) and so they put twice as much mayo/mustard as your normal american chain. Today the girl in front of me had ketchup, mustard, bbq and mayo all on her sandwich. I don't know how she ate it.

I came home, slept and almost missed kickboxing. My endurance is up because I didn't get a headache or pass out this time!

Today we woke up early and went into town to film a video for Grandma's birthday. Unfortunatly the bloody camera ran out of batteries but it was a good start. After filming we had some roti canai which we hadn't had in a looooong time!

Kim went to a yoga class while I read a book and napped by the pool. After we watch a bit of TV, we went to film some more at lake gardens. I like that place. On the way back we had dinner at Nasi Kandar Pelita...love that curry.

Edited the video for a first cut, it looks cool!

Slept in until 10am. Then was going to work out, but had to meet a realtor at 1. Then had to wait for Kim to make lunch. I feel like I have been waiting around all day. Now Kim is waiting to go out to eat.

Frustrating day.

But! Kim made a really awesome Veggie burger! Yes! Totally awesome and I'm still full.

Today I gave my MLM presentation. It went really well. I've become very good at presentations.

I let the team leave at 4pm today, and I was out before that. Just couldn't work anymore.

Kim looked for apartments today. The attached photo is the best in class for kitchens.

Today Dieter was in town for a coaching review. He seems to be taking it easy on us lately. The team did really well again, which is nice. I think I like working in this team so much because they are easy going. I wonder how much influence I have on that...

Went home to Kim and shared a bottle of wine. Looking forward to Friday.

Nothing to mention about work. Politics are getting a bit out of control.

After work I went to Melissa's house for a Chinese Lantern Festival celebration. It was really really nice. Little kids running around lighting, hanging, extinguishing and relighting and hanging chinese lanterns. I also got to play with sparklers...love that smell.

I've heard a lot about Melissa's family, so it was really good to meet them in person.

Nothing good to mention about this day. But I did go have beers with Eric, which was nice.

Ooh! I did meet a Malaysian guy who had the opening of the Declaration of Independence tattooed on his arm! Crazy!

Back to work! Today was good. I love the team...I really love working with them. There is so much crap to deal with but it's really worth it. Lunch with Jocelyn Tan visiting from Singers. Came home, had spinach and grilled pumpkin and awesome bread pudding! Thanks Kim. Reading The Hobbit, took a nap and now getting ready for bed. Tired.

Flew home early in the morning. In the cab to the airport we had only 45,650 Rupees and the meter rolled over to 46,000 Rupees 3 blocks away! Flight was OK, customs quick and Mort fired up on the first try! We had some banana leaf then bought groceries and went home for a long nap. I don't have a photo for today, so I leave you with nothing.

Trekked up Mt. Merapi today. Insane. 4 hours of near 45 degree angle scrambling in a dense fog. By the time we made it to the top (barely alive) the clouds cleared, and it was stunning. The climb down was murder and my legs are aching like hell. But at the end I realized how much I missed trekking. I want to go again tomorrow.

Rented a car today, and found that Indonesian drivers are way worse than Malaysians. We went to Borobudur and were blown away again by another amazing ruin in SE Asia. So many people asked us to be in photos with them, which was weird at first, but became a lot of fun after a while. I was also interviewed by a bunch of little kids for a school project. We had a good lunch at a stall, drove back and took a shower. Then went out for some beers, then pizza, then booked a hike for the next day. I went out to a pub when Kimbi when to bed at 10pm. Had a good time reading a book and talking to the bartender. After a while I started to notice the clientele as they trickled in and realized that the "Banana Club" catered to a very specific demographic. I hung out for a few more beers, and met a few cool people and rocked back home for a good nights rest.

Today we woke up at 4:30am and flew to Yokykarta, Indonesia. We checked into the hotel and started walking the city. We made our way to the sultan's palace, then the water temple, then to an artists shop where we learned about Wayang. We looked around, and even bought one. Took a rickshaw back and went for a swim. After the swim we went to watch a traditional ballet, which was fun. Food, home, sleep.

Had a great day at work. Solved some really difficult problems. Kim came for lunch and we ate at the smelly food court. Worked out, finished my book.

Busy Monday. I need to get recs out of the way so I can relax in Yogykarta this weekend. Joey the new girl in the team is doing really well, and everybody in the team seems to doing well also. Got home, took a nap (starting to take after Pa Kaiser) and then got up for kickboxing. Couldn't muster driving out so went to the gym with Kimbi. We spent half the time stretching, comparing the kickboxing stretch routine to her footy stretches. Learn a few new ways to painfully limber up. Ate some Texas veggie chilli (oxymoron?) with Kim while watching a new series: The 4400. Watched 4 episodes and realized I hadn't posted a photo. Here's an image from our balcony...the photos never seem to catch how epic the view really is.

Today was a good day. I slept in while Kim went to footy practice. I got my haircut and went to the gym. When I got back we went to the pool and I read The Goodfather of Kathmandu. Went back, took a nap then donned some Indian attire and went to Sharmilla Devi's engagement. It was really hot in the temple, but we were rewarded with good food at the end. We polished the day off with drinks at the supper room in PJ.
